Ontario area codes are 226 to 942. Area codes can be added or changed as the demand for phone numbers increases or as new areas are created. Callers within Ontario must dial the full 10-digit phone number (including area code) to connect to a local or long-distance telephone number, while callers from outside of Ontario must include the appropriate area code when dialing an Ontario telephone number.
